OU students participate in historic archaeological dig

This is part of the archaeological dig site where OU students are working under the leadership of Michael Pytlik, director of Judaic Studies and the director of the Cis Maisel Center for Judaic Studies and Community Engagement.

Take Root to perform Aug. 2 at The Cube

Take Root, a contemporary dance company-in-residence at Oakland University, will perform on Aug. 2 at The Cube in Detroit and host their third annual PD Expo Day on Aug. 10 at the OU Recreation and Well-Being Center.

It was 3 a.m. somewhere in between Pawtucket, Rhode Island and Scranton, Pennsylvania. Mike Brosseau was on a bus for yet another long, tiring road trip. That is when his manager told him he was being called up to the Tampa Bay Rays major league team. Three years ago, he was a star on the Oakland University baseball team. Now, he is fulfilling a lifelong dream of being a big league ballplayer.
